– Pompe Disease (Glycogen storage disease II) – PCR
Result: Genotype N/N (free)
Interpretation: The examined dog is homozygous for the intact
gene. It is a noncarrier of the defect gene responsible for
GSD II (Pompe Disease). This dog is genetically clear and will not
be affected by GSD II. This dog can only pass the normal gene on to all
its offspring.
– Prcd-PRA (partner lab) – PCR
Result: genotype N/N (clear)
Interpretation: The analysed dog is a noncarrier of the mutation
in the PRCD-gene and will not develop the prcd-form of PRA.
Since it cannot pass the mutation onto its offspring,
it can be mated to any other dog.
